ܘܡܢܐ ܐܢܘܢ ܫܠܝܡܘܢ ܫܒܥ̈ܝܢ ܐ̈ܠܦܝܢ ܓܒܪ̈ܝܢ ܫ̇ܩ̈ܠܝ ܩܘ̈ܦܐ ܘܬܡܢܐܝܢ ܐܠܦ̈ܝܢ ܓܒܪ̈ܐ ܦܣܘ̈ܠܐ ܒܛܘܪܐ ܘܫܠܝܛܝܢ ܥܠܝܗܘܢ ܬܠܬܐ ܐ̈ܠܦܝܢ ܘܫܬܡܐܐ

Now Solomon decided to build a house for Yahweh’s name, and a house for his kingdom.

ܘܫܕܪ ܫܠܝܡܘܢ ܠܘܬ ܚܝܪܡ ܡܠܟܐ ܕܨܘܪ ܘܐܡܪ ܠܗ ܐܝܟܢܐ ܕܥܒܕܬ ܥܡ ܕܘܝܕ ܐܒܝ ܚܣܕܐ ܪܒܐ ܘܫܕܪܬ ܠܗ ܐܪ̈ܙܐ ܠܡܒܢܐ ܠܗ ܒܝܬܐ ܠܡܬܒ ܒܗ

Solomon counted out seventy thousand men to bear burdens, eighty thousand men who were stone cutters in the mountains, and three thousand six hundred to oversee them.

ܘܗܐ ܐܢܐ ܒܢ̇ܐ ܒܝܬܐ ܠܫܡܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܐܠܗܝ ܠܡܩܕܫܘ ܠܗ ܘܠܡܩܪܒܘ ܩܕܡܘܗܝ ܩܛܪ̈ܘܩܐ ܕܒܣ̈ܡܐ ܘܠܡܢܗܪܘ ܫܪ̈ܓܐ ܐܡܝܢܐܝܬ ܘܕܒ̈ܚܐ ܠܡܩܪܒܘ ܒܨܦܪܐ ܘܒܪܡܫܐ ܘܒܫܒ̈ܐ ܘܒܪܝܫ ܝܪ̈ܚܐ ܘܒܥܐ̈ܕܐ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܐܠܗܢ ܠܥܠܡ ܗܕܐ ܓܙܪ ܥܠ ܟܠܗ ܐܝܣܪܝܠ

Solomon sent to Huram the king of Tyre, saying, “As you dealt with David my father, and sent him cedars to build him a house in which to dwell, so deal with me.

ܘܒܝܬܐ ܕܐܢܐ ܒܢ̇ܐ ܪܒ ܗܘ ܛܒ ܡܛܠ ܕܪܒ ܗܘ ܓܝܪ ܡܪܝܐ ܐܠܗܢ ܡܢ ܟܠܗܘܢ ܡܠܟ̈ܐ
mlk' klhwn mn 'lhn mry' gyr hw drb mTl Tb hw rb bn' d'n' wbyth'
Behold, I am about to build a house for the name of Yahweh my God, to dedicate it to him, to burn before him incense of sweet spices, for the continual show bread, and for the burnt offerings morning and evening, on the Sabbaths, on the new moons, and on the set feasts of Yahweh our God. This is an ordinance forever to Israel.

ܘܡܢܘ ܐܝܬ ܒܗ ܚܝܠܐ ܠܡܒܢܐ ܠܗ ܒܝܬܐ ܡܛܠ ܕܫܡܝܐ ܘܫܡ̈ܝ ܫܡܝܐ ܠܐ ܡܣܝܒܪܝܢ ܠܗ ܘܡܢܐ ܚܫܝܒ ܐܢܐ ܕܐܒܢܐ ܠܗ ܒܝܬܐ ܐܘ ܕܐܣܩ ܠܗ ܩܛܪ̈ܘܩܐ ܕܒܣ̈ܡܐ

“The house which I am building will be great, for our God is greater than all gods.

ܡܟܝܠ ܫܕܪ ܠܝ ܓܒܪܐ ܚܕ ܚܟܝܡܐ ܕܢܥܒܕ ܒܕܗܒܐ ܘܒܣܐܡܐ ܘܒܢܚܫܐ ܘܒܦܪܙܠܐ ܘܒܐܪܓܘܢܐ ܘܒܒܘܨܐ ܘܒܣܣܓܘܢܐ ܘܒܬܟܠܬܐ ܘܕܝ̇ܕܥ ܠܡܪܡܝܘ ܐܩܠܝ̈ܕܐ ܥܡ ܚܟܝ̈ܡܐ ܕܐܝܬ ܒܝܗܘܕܐ ܘܒܐܘܪܫܠܡ ܕܐܬܩܢ ܕܘܝܕ ܐܒܝ
'by dwyd d'thqn wb'wrshlm byhwd' d'yth khkym' em 'qlyd' lmrmyw wdyde wbthklth' wbssgwn' wbbwts' wb'rgwn' wbprzl' wbnkhsh' wbs'm' bdhb' dnebd khkym' khd gbr' ly shdr mkyl
But who is able to build him a house, since heaven and the heaven of heavens can’t contain him? Who am I then, that I should build him a house, except just to burn incense before him?

ܘܫܕܪ ܠܝ ܩܝܣ̈ܐ ܕܐܪܙܐ ܘܕܩܛܪܘܩܐ ܘܕܐܫܟܪܥܐ ܡܢ ܠܒܢܢ ܡܛܠ ܕܐܢܐ ܝܕܥ̇ܢܐ ܕܥܒ̣̈ܕܝܟ ܝܕܥ̇ܝܢ ܠܡܦܣܩ ܐܪ̈ܙܐ ܡܢ ܠܒܢܢ ܘܗܐ ܥܒ̣̈ܕܝ ܥܡ ܥܒ̣ܕ̈ܝܟ
ebdyk em ebdy wh' lbnn mn 'rz' lmpsq ydeyn debdyk yden' d'n' mTl lbnn mn wd'shkre' wdqTrwq' d'rz' qys' ly wshdr
“Now therefore send me a man skillful to work in gold, in silver, in bronze, in iron, and in purple, crimson, and blue, and who knows how to engrave engravings, to be with the skillful men who are with me in Judah and in Jerusalem, whom David my father provided.

ܢܗܘܘܢ ܡܝܬܝܢ ܠܝ ܩܝܣ̈ܐ ܣܓܝ ܡܛܠ ܕܒܝܬܐ ܕܒ̇ܢܐ ܐܢܐ ܪܒ ܗܘ ܛܒ ܘܕܬܡܗܐ ܗܘ
hw wdthmh' Tb hw rb 'n' dbn' dbyth' mTl sgy qys' ly mythyn nhwwn
“Send me also cedar trees, cypress trees, and algum trees out of Lebanon, for I know that your servants know how to cut timber in Lebanon. Behold, my servants will be with your servants,

ܘܐܢܐ ܡܝܬܐ ܐܢܐ ܢܓܪ̈ܐ ܕܐܘܡ̈ܢܝܢ ܘܐܢܐ ܝܗ̇ܒ ܐܢܐ ܚ̈ܛܐ ܣܝܒܪܬܐ ܠܥܒ̣ܕ̈ܝܟ ܟܘܪ̈ܐ ܥܣܪܝܢ ܐ̈ܠܦܝܢ ܘܣܥܪ̈ܐ ܟܘܪ̈ܐ ܥܣܪܝܢ ܐ̈ܠܦܝܢ ܘܚܡܪܐ ܪ̈ܒܥܐ ܥܣܪܝܢ ܐ̈ܠܦܝܢ ܘܡܫܚܐ ܪ̈ܒܥܐ ܥܣܪܝܢ ܐ̈ܠܦܝܢ
'lpyn esryn rbe' wmshkh' 'lpyn esryn rbe' wkhmr' 'lpyn esryn kwr' wser' 'lpyn esryn kwr' lebdyk sybrth' khT' 'n' yhb w'n' d'wmnyn ngr' 'n' myth' w'n'
even to prepare me timber in abundance; for the house which I am about to build will be great and wonderful.

ܘܐܡܪ ܚܝܪܡ ܡܠܟܐ ܕܨܘܪ ܒܟܬܒܐ ܘܫܕܪ ܠܘܬ ܫܠܝܡܘܢ ܘܐܡܪ ܠܗ ܡܛܠ ܕܪܚܡ ܡܪܝܐ ܠܥܡܗ ܐܩܝܡܟ ܥܠܝܗܘܢ ܡܠܟܐ
mlk' elyhwn 'qymk lemh mry' drkhm mTl lh w'mr shlymwn lwth wshdr bkthb' dtswr mlk' khyrm w'mr
Behold, I will give to your servants, the cutters who cut timber, twenty thousand cors of beaten wheat, twenty thousand baths of barley, twenty thousand baths of wine, and twenty thousand baths of oil.”

ܘܐܡܪ ܚܝܪܡ ܒܪܝܟ ܗܘ ܡܪܐ ܡܪ̈ܘܬܐ ܕܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܕܒܪܐ ܫܡܝܐ ܘܐܪܥܐ ܘܝܗܒ ܠܕܘܝܕ ܒܪܐ ܚܟܝܡܐ ܡܫܬܘܕܥ ܘܡܬܒܝܢ ܘܗܘܬ ܡܢ ܪܥܝܢܗ ܠܡܒܢܐ ܒܝܬܐ ܠܡܪܝܐ ܘܒܝܬܐ ܠܡܠܟܘܬܗ
lmlkwthh wbyth' lmry' byth' lmbn' reynh mn whwth wmthbyn mshthwde khkym' br' ldwyd wyhb w're' shmy' dbr' d'ysryl mrwth' mr' hw bryk khyrm w'mr
Then Huram the king of Tyre answered in writing, which he sent to Solomon, “Because Yahweh loves his people, he has made you king over them.”

ܘܐܦ ܗܫܐ ܫܕܪܬ ܠܟ ܓܒܪܐ ܚܟܝܡܐ ܝܕ̇ܥ ܡܒܝܢܢܘܬܐ ܠܚܝܪܡ
lkhyrm mbynnwth' yde khkym' gbr' lk shdrth hsh' w'p
Huram continued, “Blessed be Yahweh, the God of Israel, who made heaven and earth, who has given to David the king a wise son, endowed with discretion and understanding, who would build a house for Yahweh and a house for his kingdom.

ܒܪ ܐܢܬܬܐ ܗܘܐ ܐܪܡܠܬܐ ܡܢ ܒܝܬ ܕܢ ܘܐܒܘܗܝ ܓܒܪܐ ܗܘܐ ܐܘܡܢܐ ܝܕ̇ܥ ܠܡܥܒܕ ܒܕܗܒܐ ܘܒܟܣܦܐ ܘܒܢܚܫܐ ܘܒܦܪܙܠܐ ܘܒܟܐ̈ܦܐ ܘܒܩܝ̈ܣܐ ܘܒܐܪܓܘܢܐ ܘܒܬܟܠܬܐ ܘܒܒܘܨܐ ܘܒܣܣܓܘܢܐ ܘܒܐܣܦܝܢܝܩܐ ܠܡܥܒܕ ܩ̈ܠܝܕܐ ܠܬܪ̈ܥܐ ܘܠܡܥܒܕ ܟܠ ܐܘܡܢܘ ܕܐܬܝܗܒܬ ܠܗ ܡܢ ܩܕܡ ܡܪܝܐ ܥܡ ܚܟܝ̈ܡܝܟ ܘܥܡ ܚܟܝ̈ܡܘܗܝ ܕܡܪܢ ܕܘܝܕ ܐܒܘܟ
'bwk dwyd dmrn khkymwhy wem khkymyk em mry' qdm mn lh d'thyhbth 'wmnw kl wlmebd lthre' qlyd' lmebd wb'spynyq' wbssgwn' wbbwts' wbthklth' wb'rgwn' wbqys' wbk'p' wbprzl' wbnkhsh' wbksp' bdhb' lmebd yde 'wmn' hw' gbr' w'bwhy dn byth mn 'rmlth' hw' 'nthth' br
Now I have sent a skillful man, endowed with understanding, Huram-abi,

ܘܐܦ ܗܫܐ ܚܛ̈ܐ ܘܣܥܪ̈ܐ ܘܡܫܚܐ ܘܚ̣ܡܪܐ ܕܐܡܪ ܡܪܝ ܠܡܫܕܪܘ ܠܥܒ̣ܕ̈ܘܗܝ ܢܫܕܪ
nshdr lebdwhy lmshdrw mry d'mr wkhmr' wmshkh' wser' khT' hsh' w'p
the son of a woman of the daughters of Dan; and his father was a man of Tyre. He is skillful to work in gold, in silver, in bronze, in iron, in stone, in timber, in purple, in blue, in fine linen, and in crimson, also to engrave any kind of engraving and to devise any device, that there may be a place appointed to him with your skillful men, and with the skillful men of my lord David your father.

ܘܚܢܢ ܢܦܣܘܩ ܐܪ̈ܙܐ ܡܢ ܠܒܢܢ ܐܝܟ ܨܒܝܢܟ ܘܐܝܟ ܡܘܫ̈ܚܬܟ ܘܢܝܬܐ ܐܢܘܢ ܠܟ ܘܢܪܡܐ ܐܢܘܢ ܒܝܡܐ ܕܣܘܦ ܘܐܢܬ ܬܣܩ ܐܢܘܢ ܠܐܘܪܫܠܡ
l'wrshlm 'nwn thsq w'nth dswp bym' 'nwn wnrm' lk 'nwn wnyth' mwshkhthk w'yk tsbynk 'yk lbnn mn 'rz' npswq wkhnn
“Now therefore, the wheat, the barley, the oil, and the wine which my lord has spoken of, let him send to his servants;

ܘܟܢܫ ܫܠܝܡܘܢ ܟܠ ܓܒܪ̈ܐ ܓܝܘܪ̈ܐ ܕܗܘܘ ܒܐܪܥܐ ܕܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܒܬܪ ܡܢܝܢܐ ܕܡܢܐ ܐܢܘܢ ܕܘܝܕ ܐܒܘܗܝ ܘܐܫܟܚ ܡܐܐ ܘܚܡܫܝܢ ܐ̈ܠܦܝܢ ܘܬܠܬܐ ܐܠܦܝ̈ܢ ܘܫܬܡܐܐ
wshthm'' 'lpyn wthlth' 'lpyn wkhmshyn m'' w'shkkh 'bwhy dwyd 'nwn dmn' mnyn' bthr d'ysryl b're' dhww gywr' gbr' kl shlymwn wknsh
and we will cut wood out of Lebanon, as much as you need. We will bring it to you in rafts by sea to Joppa; then you shall carry it up to Jerusalem.”

ܘܥܒܕ ܡܢܗܘܢ ܡܠܟܐ ܫܠܝܡܘܢ ܫܒܥܝܢ ܐ̈ܠܦܝܢ ܫ̇ܩ̈ܠܝ ܩܘ̈ܦܐ ܘܬܡܢܐܝܢ ܐ̈ܠܦܝܢ ܦܣܘ̈ܠܐ ܒܛܘܪܐ ܘܬܠܬܐ ܐ̈ܠܦܝܢ ܘܫܬܡܐܐ ܩܝܘ̈ܡܐ ܕܡܥܒܕܝܢ ܠܥܡܐ

Solomon counted all the foreigners who were in the land of Israel, after the census with which David his father had counted them; and they found one hundred fifty-three thousand six hundred.
